Indian Navy Jobs After 12th

There are many job roles a person can think to apply for Indian Navy after the completion of their 12th class. The Indian Navy recruits several skilled youths for positions like Apprentice, Sialor, and others throughout the year. We are about to discuss the five ways to enter the Indian Navy and all the ways open after the 12th class.

1. Join Indian Navy: NDA/ INA Entry

Indian Navy organization organizes the NDA examination two times a year. The focus of the NDA examination is to find the best person in the age group of 16.5 years to 19 years for the NDA course. The persons are called Cadets and will be appointed directly to the Officer Rank in the Indian Navy after the completion of the NDA course. The NDA examination is the easy way to get a job in the Indian Navy after the 12th class, students start preparing for the NDA paper during the 11th and 12th class study. The examination of NDA is organized by UPSC for the course in the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.

Educational Qualification

The aspirants who want to join the Indian Navy should pass the 12th class with the science stream from the approved college/school/university. The aspirants should have studied Physics and Maths as one of the subjects during the 12th class.

Selection Process

The aspirants who want to crack the NDA examination for the Indian Navy jobs will be first invited to pass the written examination and then there will be the SSB interview round followed by the Medical rounds.

2. Join Indian Navy: 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry

Indian Navy has a special entry scheme for the 12th-pass students from the science branch to enter into the BTech course run by the Indian Navy. The person should be unmarried to apply for the 10+2 BTech Entry Scheme for the Cadets. The entry into the Indian Navy is done for two branches as given below.
  1. For Education Branch
  2. For Executive & Technical Branch

Educational Qualification

The applicants should have passed the 12th class with a 10 +2 pattern and they must have PCM subjects in the 12th class. The collective marks of the aspirants for Physics, Chemistry, and Maths should be more than 70% and the marks of English subjects should be more than 50%. The Indian Navy will consider the marks of the JEE Mains paper to shortlist the nominees for the SSB Interview round. It is the All India Rank, AIR released by the NTA agency.

The nominees will be chosen for the Indian Navy 10_+2 Btech Cadet Entry through the two stages of selection rounds.

3. Join Indian Navy: Artificer Apprentice Entry

Indian Navy hires 12th pass students for the Apprentice posts and different streams of 12th class can apply for the Apprentice positions in Indian Navy.

Educational Qualification

The nominees who want to apply for the Indian Navy Apprentice posts should have completed the 12th class with PCM subjects from the approved institute/board/ school.

Selection Process

The nominees will be selected for the Indian Navy Apprentice posts as per the result of written examination, Physical test, and medical test.

4. Join Indian Navy: Senior Secondary SSR Entry, Agniveer 

SSR Entry is another way to join the Indian Navy after the 12th class. It is Sr Secondary Recruit. The age of the nominees for the SSR would be from 17½ to 21 years.

Educational Qualification

The nominees who have passed the 12th grade from the approved school/college with the math and physics subjects can apply for the Indian Navy SSR scheme.

5. Join Indian Navy: Sport Entry

Indian Navy recruits students who are sports persons and pass the 12th class. The requirements of a person will be a Sports Officer in the Indian Navy to perform various tasks such as training the officials, sports management, and others.

The nominees who have completed the 12th class from the recognized college/school/board and have the sorts certificates from the National/International Tournaments.

The aspirants in the Indian Navy for the Sports Cadre will be chosen as per the following rounds.

6. Join Indian Navy: After the 10th, Agniveer MR

Indian Navy also hires 10th-pass persons through the MR Entry scheme. The age of the nominees for the Agniveer MR posts must be from 17½ to 21 years.  The positions for the 10th pass person in the Indian Navy will be as given below.

  2. MR Agniveer Steward
  3. MR Agniveer Hygienist

Positions in the Indian Navy
